Frequently Asked Questions

Public Workshops

Q - What time do public workshops start?
A - You should plan to arrive between 8:30 and 8:55AM on the first day of the workshop for registration and check-in. The workshop will start at 9:00AM and finish around 4:00PM. Regular breaks are scheduled throughout the day. Participants are on their own for lunch from noon to 1:00 PM.

Q - Where is the workshop location?
A - Go to Public Workshops and view the workshop you are attending. The workshop location can be found there, alongside other workshop information.

Q - How many participants are in each workshop?
A - To better facilitate group interaction, participation is limited to 60 participants in most workshops. Attendance usually ranges from 30-60 participants.

Q - What workshops are coming next?
A - Our winter-spring schedule is posted in November and our fall schedule is posted in July.

Q - How will I know CTRI received my registration form?
A - We will contact you within 10 business days to confirm receipt of your registration. If you do not receive a confirmation within 10 business days, please contact our office.

Q - Will I receive a certificate?
A - All participants who attend the entire workshop will receive a certificate of participation. Certificates will not be given to those who can only attend part of the workshop.

Q - Can I register at the door?
A - We strongly suggest you register in advance to ensure seating. However, if there is space available you may register at the door (we encourage you to call in advance to ensure there is space available).

Q - Is lunch provided?
A - Lunch is not provided. Our training venues either include a restaurant or are located close by.

Q - Will the room be warm or cold?
A - We encourage you to bring a sweater or dress in layers as the room temperature often varies.

Q - What is your cancellation policy?
A - Registrations cancelled 7 or more days prior to the workshop are refundable, minus a $50.00 administrative fee. Alternatively you may receive a credit to attend a future training. Cancellations less than 7 days prior to the workshop are non-refundable. If at anytime you are unable to attend, you are welcome to transfer your registration to another individual at no extra cost. In this case, please notify CTRI of the name of the alternate person who will be attending.

We reserve the right to cancel workshops due to unforeseen circumstances or under-enrolment. Liability is limited to a refund of workshop fees only. Please make travel arrangements with this in mind.

Q - Can you send me a certificate I lost for forgot to get?
A - There is a $15.00 administration and postage fee for certificates lost or not picked up at the training venue.

On-Site Training

Q - How can we offer a workshop in our community/school/organization?
A - Often it is more cost-efficient to bring us right to you. Contact us at info@ctrinstitute.com for more details and a fee structure.

Q - Are you available to do a training on a specific date?
A - We attempt to work with you to secure a trainer for your training date preference, but sometimes we need to look at alternative dates.

Q - How far in advance should I book a date for on-site training?
A - In an effort to secure mutually agreed upon training dates, it is best to contact our training coordinator 2 to 3 months in advance of when you wish to have the training. However, we can sometimes find availability on short-term notice.
