Workplace Violence - Issues and Strategies (1 day)

Violence and the potential for violence in the workplace is an important issue for organizations to address directly.  The dynamics surrounding workplace violence are complex and require thoughtful discussion on how to best address and respond to the issues.   For the purpose of this training, violence refers to the actual, attempted or threatened physical harm of an employee or employer in the workplace. This workshop provides an overview of the issues related to workplace violence and gives participants strategies for preventing, managing and coping with this violence.  Both front line workers and administrators will benefit from this provocative and insightful workshop.   This workshop is a one day abbreviated version of De-escalating Potentially Violent Situations.
